Job Position: Administrative Assistant - Purchasing Location: Austin, TX 78723 Pay Rate: starting at $23.00/hr Shift: 8AM to 5PM Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our client's Purchasing Department at their telecommunications company. This position will assist with purchase orders, vendor communication, order tracking, inventory documentation, and general administrative duties.
Responsibilities: -Process and maintain purchase orders and purchasing records. -Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, orders, and deliveries. -Track orders and follow up on outstanding or delayed shipments. -Assist with quotes, invoices, and resolving purchasing discrepancies. -Coordinate with warehouse, accounting, operations, and project teams. -Maintain accurate files, spreadsheets, and purchasing reports. -Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing Department.
Qualifications: -1-3 years of administrative or purchasing experience preferred. -Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. -Excellent communication and follow-up abilities. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. -Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Telecommunications or inventory experience is a plus.
