About the Job: Set up and operate CNC machines and robots to fabricate parts according to work orders and drawings in a safety-conscious, quality-focused manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has at least six months of CNC experience; candidates with strong manufacturing backgrounds and the mechanical aptitude to learn CNC operations may also be considered.
Duties/Responsibilities: Set up and operate computer numerical control machines to produce parts according to work order and drawing requirements. Load parts, cycle machines, and identify malfunctions, including worn or damaged cutting tools. Use hand tools to deburr, de-gate, or polish parts. Package production according to router steps and stamp off operations before proceeding to the next operation. Run production lots and communicate with coworkers regarding production runs. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment in accordance with 5S principles. Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly, and honestly. Produce quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines while minimizing scrap. Contribute to continuous improvement processes and projects related to output, quality, cost, and delivery. Escalate problems within the department as they arise. Adhere to the company's Principles of Conduct and Action.
Required Qualifications: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in above-ambient temperatures. At least 1 year of manufacturing experience. At least 6 months of CNC machine operation experience, including lathes or mills. Intermediate computer and math skills, including the ability to measure parts and learn CNC machine and robot programming. Strong attendance and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Willing and able to learn CNC operations. Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Why Kelly?
