Security & Transportation Supervisor Hot JobOverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift AnyDescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe primary purpose of this position is to ensure a tranquil and safe environment for the Members and Employees of Vicar's Landing, through the enforcement of the policies and procedures as established by the Director of Security and Administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the interview process as needed, including coordinating interview schedules, preparing interview questions, facilitating candidate assessments Activation and issuing of key fobs and RFIDs to members and staff Ordering supplies and equipment needed to run the day-to-day operations for Vicar's Landing at Oak Bridge security department. Observe Vicar's Landing employees and areas for internal theft. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary. Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats, following established emergency procedures. Administrative duties include and are not limited to memos for the security department, preparing documentation for security staff daily reports, emails, and notices. First response for maintenance related items after maintenance business hours. Security Supervisor should be knowledgeable of basic operation of appliances, i.e., a/c thermometer, ice maker shut off valve, etc. to determine if maintenance is needed. Monitor ProxiGuard system for perimeter checks. Analyze trends in security incidents reported through ProxiGuard and recommend improvements to patrol routes or procedures. Check pass-down log and security log each day for incidents and accidents, and follow up as needed. Ensure proper documentation of all incidents for compliance and reporting purposes. Adhere to company policies regarding the handling and storage of sensitive information. Work closely with management to adjust schedules based on operational needs and employee availability. Participate in disciplinary meetings by taking notes, providing policy guidance, or acting as a witness if required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Security/Transportation.
Qualifications: PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk hear, and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Employee must have excellent balance and be able to climb a ladder and walk around a roof. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and be able to work at heights. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus as well as work on a computer for extended periods of time.
