Senior Engineer This is a remote position. The company is comprised of solar industry veterans focused on Front-of-the-Meter renewable energy infrastructure. Strong Management experience and technical expertise allow them to provide exceptional service to their clients in building critical generation and energy storage.
Job Description: The Senior Engineer has an active role in Leading East Coast projects through all design disciplines from contract execution to construction mobilization. This role is the primary point of contact with our project teams for all engineering related initiatives and management of third-party engineering consultants.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical design of projects, developing Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Communications drawings in alignment with the company and Project Owner specifications. Lead sizing, optimization, and design of AC & DC coupled Energy Storage Systems (ESS)Identify device sequencing, data interfaces, & manage control algorithm creation for ESS.Conduct product analysis to identify compatibility and optimal solutions for PV+S equipment. Lead technical procurement efforts in conjunction with Project Management. Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from Project Owners, the Company Construction team, and construction subcontractors. Develop and refine internal design, cost, and energy modeling tools. Participate in internal entrepreneurial efforts related to building company intellectual property.
Requirements: Education/
Training Qualifications: 4-6 years of experience in Power Systems Engineering Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Expertise with ESS, Solar PV, SCADA, Power Conversion systems Expert in reading, reviewing, and marking up engineering drawing sets. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word), Bluebeam, and Computer Aided Design (CAD)
