If you're as comfortable in front of a client as you are behind a timeline, we'd like to see your work.
About the Role: Anthem is a Houston-basedvideo production company that focuses on B2B content. Much of our work happens where our clients do theirs: manufacturing plants, job sites, energy facilities, and corporate offices, along with our in-house studio. We're looking for a seasoned, highly creative video professional to lead production projects at Anthem. You'll own shoot execution from call time to wrap: directing, interviewing, and running camera, lighting, and audio. When you're not shooting, you'll be editing projects alongside our post-production team. Expect roughly 50% of your time on shoots and 50% editing. Before you apply, spend some time on our website. It will tell you who we work with and how we think about our work. What You'll Own Shoot execution. Lead a small crew of 2-3 on location. Conduct on-camera interviews with executives and subject-matter experts from prepared questions, and go off-script confidently when the conversation takes a turn. Camera, lighting, and audio. Run our Sony FX6 and FX3 cinema kit and our standard lighting and audio package, in the field and in studio. Studio and podcast sessions. Run in-house studio and podcast productions. On-set client experience. Be the calm, capable presence clients rely on. Solve problems as they come up and keep the day on track. Editing. Carryedits from raw footage to finished deliverable. Pre-production. Help shape the creative and production approach before the shoot, so the plan you direct from is one you believe in. Media handling. Offload footage from every shoot to our storage system and hand it off cleanly to post-production. Gear and inventory. Keep our equipment maintained, organized, and shoot-ready.
What We're Looking For: 8+ years of professional shooting and editing experience, including directing on set. Deep command of cinema cameras (Sony FX line strongly preferred), lighting, and audio, in both studio and field environments. A strong interviewer who puts non-actors at ease and knows how to draw out a good story. The ability to deliver a finished edit, not just a rough cut, with expert-level Adobe Premiere Pro skills. Polish and confidence working directly with clients and executives. Comfort working in industrial and field environments, including wearing PPE and following site safety requirements. Availability to travel for shoots, typically 0–2 times per month for one or two days at a time. The ability to work long days on your feet and lift and carry up to [50] lbs of production gear. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation. An appreciation for a good gear debate.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
