About the role
Associate Scientist – Purification Process Development Location: Oceanside, CA | Onsite: 5 days/week RoleSupport purification process development and characterization for pivotal/commercial programs, with a strong focus on high-throughput purification (HTP) and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute HTP purification of upstream/cell culture samples.
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot automated purification workflows.
Operate Tecan and Hamilton liquid-handling systems.
Perform microscale/bench-scale purification using chromatography and filtration.
Support process development, characterization, experimental design, and data analysis.
Maintain lab instrumentation and improve purification workflows.
Prepare protocols, reports, and ELN documentation.
Collaborate with upstream, downstream, and cross-functional teams.
Follow safety, compliance, and data-integrity requirements.
Required Qualifications:
M.S. + 2 years or B.S. + 4 years relevant industry experience.
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field.
Strong hands-on experience with HTP purification and automated liquid handling.
Experience with Tecan/Hamilton, microscale chromatography, AKTA, plate-based chromatography, and filtration.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
