Job Full Description Forklift Mechanic Apprentice Express Employment on 61st and Center is currently recruiting for a Forklift Mechanic Apprentice to join a company in Omaha, NE!
Position Details:
- Type: Evaluation Hire
- Schedule: 7am-3:30pm
- Location: Omaha, NE
- Pay/Salary: $18-$19
Job Duties:
- Assist senior mechanics with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of forklifts and material-handling equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including fluid checks, lubrication, and part replacements
- Diagnose basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues under supervision
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders
- Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and OSHA guidelines at all times
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Learn proper use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude with a strong interest in equipment repair or maintenance
- Basic knowledge of engines, electrical systems, or hydraulics preferred
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Reliable attendance and positive work ethic
