The ideal candidate will have experience defending construction and design litigation matters. Experience representing developers, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors is strongly preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside talented legal professionals in a collegial, business‑casual environment located in Downtown Denver. You will gain hands‑on experience with clients, depositions, court appearances, and business development. A hybrid work schedule—three days in the office and two days working remotely is offered after successful completion of training. Requirements Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado; A strong work ethic and proven case management skills; Excellent communication and analytical skills; Exceptional research and writing skills; Ability to travel; Competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook; Interviewing and meeting with client representatives; Direct experience/interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy; Responsibility for handling own files/matters; Taking and defending fact and expert depositions; Expert engagement and preparation, expert disclosures and reporting; Experience with all facets of pre‑trial discovery and preparation; Experience with all facets of pre‑trial motions; Experience with large exposure cases, multi‑party litigation, complex construction, and design matters; Experience with large document production and database matters; Management and delegation of work to paralegals; Construction contract drafting and negotiation, preferred; Schedule and payment claim experience, preferred; Marketing and business development interest, and; Experience in drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations, preferred. The hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $187,500 annually, commensurate with experience. Applications for this position will be accepted through January 30, 2025.
