About the role
- Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles on public roads
- Remain alert and ready to take vehicle control when necessary
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Monitor vehicle system performance and road conditions
- Submit detailed operational and safety reports
- Communicate professionally with engineers, riders, and operations teams
- Practice defensive driving and hazard anticipation at all times
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license held continuously for 3+ years
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major violations 3+ years of professional driving experience OR 4+ years of full-time rideshare driving
- Active Uber Driver account in good standing
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Comfortable driving in traffic, highways, night shifts, and changing weather conditions
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using GPS, routing, and communication apps
- Authorized to work in the United States (No visa sponsorship available)
