About the role

Receptionist We are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, customers, and callers. This position in Waukesha, WI is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing incoming calls and visitors, maintaining office communications, and supporting general administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable interacting with people at all levels of the organization.
Receptionist Responsibilities: Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls; take and relay messages as needed Use the paging system to communicate with employees when necessary Greet visitors, monitor visitor access, and maintain awareness of facility security procedures Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and deliveries Operate the postage machine and prepare outgoing mail Monitor and maintain postage and office supply inventories Maintain employee and department directories, phone lists, and organizational charts Update company intranet postings and internal communications Create and distribute employee birthday and anniversary announcements Coordinate and organize onsite company events and employee activities Maintain the employee photo board and other office postings Assist the Engineering Department with creating and organizing shop books Provide general administrative support as needed Requirements for Receptionist: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or associate degree in Administrative Support or a related field preferred Approximately 3 years of related administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, customers, and the general public Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prepare basic reports, business correspondence, and written instructions Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling information Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds Ability to perform routine office and administrative tasks throughout the workday
