Role Description:
This is a part-time, on-site Registered Dental Hygienist role based in the Greater Chicago Area. The hygienist will perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, and patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical and dental histories, assisting with the identification and management of periodontal disease, and collaborating with the dentist on treatment planning. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, following infection control protocols, and supporting a positive, efficient patient experience throughout each visit.
Qualifications:
Clinical dentistry and dental care skills, including collaboration with the dentist on treatment planning and patient management.
Dental hygiene and dental prophylaxis skills, with the ability to provide thorough cleanings and preventive services.
Knowledge of periodontal disease, including assessment, documentation, and patient education on treatment and maintenance.
Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Illinois.
Strong patient communication skills and a commitment to compassionate, family-oriented care.
Proficiency with dental practice management and charting software, and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and manage time efficiently in a busy clinical setting.
CPR certification and experience in a general or family dental practice are preferred.
