About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team for work in Pecos, TX. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manages, oversees, and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid/award, construction, and close-out phase of all assigned programs or a collection of high-value projects. Provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the Construction Management function. Drives program strategy development, contributes to organizational growth, and manages departmental policies. Manages the overall program budget and schedule to meet the organization's qualitative standards; monitors project budgets and ensures accurate financial reflection of project status. Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and progress of the programs. Administers complex provisions of Professional Service Agreements and actively manages high-level program risks and conflicts. Plays an integral role in mentoring and developing staff across the Construction Management team; forms long-term strategic relationships with key external partners.
Minimum Requirements: 10+ years full-time paid professional experience in Construction and/or a combination of Project and Construction Management of commercial and/or public facility construction. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Certification in a relevant project management field (e.g., PMP, CCM) OR a Professional License (e.g., Registered Architect, Professional Engineer is required, along with demonstrated thought leadership through active participation in industry-relevant organizations or professional groups.
Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of project delivery methods, contract management, and construction law principles. Expert proficiency in PMIS and project control software. Additional Qualities (a plus, but not required): Advanced degree in a related field. Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similar regulatory bodies.
