About the role

Field Service Technician We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for commercial printers, copiers, multifunction devices, and related office technology. This position will primarily work independently in the field, traveling to customer locations throughout the assigned territory to diagnose equipment issues, complete repairs, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial printers, copiers, and multifunction equipment. Respond to service calls promptly and maximize customer equipment uptime. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, connectivity, and software-related equipment issues. Install and replace parts and components to restore equipment functionality. Provide basic customer training on proper equipment operation and maintenance. Maintain accurate service records, including call-close details, parts usage, and meter readings. Manage assigned parts, tools, and service resources effectively. Communicate professionally with customers, service teams, sales, and management. Identify additional customer needs and communicate potential service or equipment opportunities to the appropriate team. Travel independently throughout the assigned service territory.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.2–5 years of field service, printer/copier repair, or related technical experience preferred. Experience servicing equipment from manufacturers such as Xerox, Ricoh, Canon, HP, Kyocera, Lexmark, or similar brands is highly preferred. Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities. Ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues in the field. Strong customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage service calls and priorities independently. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel to customer sites. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as needed. Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally.
