Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong Java development background to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java development, automation framework design, API testing, UI testing, and CI/CD integration.
The candidate will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java.
Develop automation scripts for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Leverage strong Java programming and object-oriented development principles to build scalable automation solutions.
Create and maintain reusable automation components, utilities, and test libraries.
Perform API testing using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
Develop UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework and coding standards.
Work with developers to improve application testability and implement quality engineering practices.
Perform database validation using SQL.Develop test strategies and automation approaches for complex applications and microservices.
Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and automation practices.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET / Quality Engineering.
Strong hands-on Java development/programming experience.
Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java 8+ features.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
Experience developing automation frameworks using Java.
Strong experience with REST API automation and testing.
Experience with REST Assured and/or Postman.
Strong understanding of JUnit, TestNG, or similar testing frameworks.
Experience with Maven or Gradle.
Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab.
Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
Experience testing RESTful services, microservices, and distributed applications.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
Experience testing microservices-based applications.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.Experience with cloud-based testing and distributed systems.
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
