Job PostingPRN as needed Job Summary: Transports patients from their rooms to the ancillary departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Transports patients to the appropriate department using the appropriate equipment to ensure the safety of the patient Has an understanding of the medical condition of the patient being transported in order to ensure the safety of the patient Operation of equipment is performed in a safe and smooth manner so that the patient is not disturbed Use of personal protective equipment is utilized as instructed Equipment is maintained in proper working condition Repairs are reported to the supervisor, and the equipment is tagged and removed from service Displays a professional demeanor at all times. Uniform will be in compliance with the department policy and is clean/pressed for daily use. Patient/public and customer contact is professional, and all requests are handled with a sense of urgency Assignments are completed quickly and accurately without having to be prompted Maintains confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
