Role Description:
The Finance Manager role at Autobarn City Volkswagen is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing key aspects of automotive finance and customer financing processes. On a day-to-day basis, the Finance Manager will review and process finance applications, secure approvals with lenders, and present financing and protection options in a clear and compliant manner. This role includes preparing and verifying finance documents, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and dealership policies. The Finance Manager will collaborate with sales team members via digital tools to support deal structuring, assist in achieving sales and finance targets, and help optimize profitability while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience. The role also involves monitoring financial performance metrics, identifying process improvements, and providing periodic reports to leadership.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in automotive finance, banking, or financial services, including structuring loans and reviewing credit applications. Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, calculate payments, and assess deal profitability. Proficiency with finance software, CRM systems, and common office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, and digital communication platforms).Thorough understanding of relevant finance regulations, compliance practices, and documentation standards in the automotive or consumer finance sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an accessible, customer-friendly manner. Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and coordinate with a distributed sales and management team. Background in customer service or sales, with a focus on building trust, handling objections professionally, and supporting long-term relationships. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in finance or compliance are a plus. Experience in an automotive dealership environment is beneficial but not required.
