Full-Time, Monday–Friday We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a well-established company in Coral Gables. This position will provide hands-on support across benefits administration, payroll/timekeeping support, onboarding, employee records, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded HR background with particularly strong experience in benefits administration, working with insurance carriers and brokers, open enrollment, and resolving employee benefit questions and issues.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits, HR policies, timekeeping/payroll questions, and general HR matters Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and open enrollment Communicate directly with benefit carriers and insurance brokers regarding coverage, claims, enrollment issues, and employee benefit questions Assist employees with resolving benefit and insurance issues Support payroll by reviewing timecards for missing hours, incorrect punches, missed days, and other discrepancies Make or coordinate necessary timekeeping corrections and ensure accurate information is submitted for payroll processing Assist with payroll-related deductions, adjustments, and employee questions Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including required documentation, I-9/E-Verify, employee records, benefits enrollment, and HR system setup Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR documentation Process employee changes and maintain accurate HRIS information Provide day-to-day employee relations and HR support Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with company policies and applicable employment regulations Assist with additional HR projects and administrative responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or similar hands-on HR professional Strong experience with benefits administration Experience communicating directly with benefit carriers and/or insurance brokers Experience supporting open enrollment, benefit changes, and employee claims/issues Hands-on onboarding and HR documentation experience Experience supporting payroll through timecard/timekeeping review, corrections, deductions, and payroll preparation Knowledge of HR policies and employment practices Strong organizational, communication, and employee-service skillsHRIS and payroll system experience preferred
Please note:
This position does not require the HR Generalist to independently process payroll. The position supports payroll by reviewing and correcting timekeeping information and ensuring accurate employee information is submitted for processing.
