About the role

What if your next ministry opportunity gave you the chance to help an entire generation discover faith, find belonging, and know they are deeply loved? Salina FUMC in Salina, Kansas, is seeking a full-time Next Gen Director to lead ministry for children and youth from birth through age 18. This is an opportunity to bring fresh vision, energy, and leadership to ministries with a strong foundation - including engaging spaces, committed volunteers, paid university interns, and a history of meaningful experiences such as VBS, camps, mission trips, and service opportunities. We’re looking for a relational, spiritually mature, proactive leader who loves building genuine relationships with children, students, families, and volunteers. You’ll have the opportunity to shape a unified vision for children’s and youth ministry, equip volunteers, oversee interns, strengthen connections with families, create meaningful faith experiences, and become an active presence in the Salina community. We value someone who is a good listener, strong communicator, organized self-starter, creative collaborator, and trusted presence who understands that effective ministry begins with showing up and building relationships. This is more than a role - it’s an opportunity to build something that lasts. If you’re energized by investing in young people, bringing people together, and helping a church’s next generation grow in faith, we’d love to hear from you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
