Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Residential Security Team role based in the San Luis Obispo area. The position involves securing residences and surrounding grounds, and monitoring access points to prevent unauthorized entry. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting threat and risk assessments, maintaining situational awareness, implementing security protocols, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. The role also includes managing visitor and vendor screening, overseeing security systems and patrols, documenting incidents and observations, and supporting secure transportation and movement of clients. Team members are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, uphold strict confidentiality, and follow established SOPs and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Physical Security skills, including access control, perimeter security, surveillance, and incident response. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for clear reporting, client interaction, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. Prior experience in executive protection, residential security, law enforcement, or military service is highly beneficial. Ability to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and maintain high situational awareness in complex environments. Familiarity with security technology such as CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, and basic networking concepts is preferred. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Relevant security certifications or training (e.g., close protection, defensive tactics, first aid/CPR, emergency preparedness) are a plus. Must possess a current CA. BSIS Armed Guard license.
