Position Description The Application Developer at Applied Medical plays a critical role in building end-to-end business applications that span both front-end and back-end technologies. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying complete solutions, from user interfaces through APIs and databases, that support Applied Medical's internal teams and business position contributes to the quality and reliability of Applied Medical's application ecosystem by delivering cohesive, full-stack solutions rather than isolated components. The Application Developer collaborates with business analysts, UX/UI designers, database administrators, and Dev Ops engineers to build integrated applications that meet business needs from concept through deployment. Applied Medical is committed to innovation in medical device manufacturing, and the Application Developer supports this mission by ensuring internal business applications are well-architected, secure, and maintainable across the full technology stack. Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using C#,.NET Core, React, and Type Script, delivering complete features from database through user interface. Build and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, connecting front-end applications to back-end services and data stores. Design and optimize data models across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.Deploy and maintain applications on Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces and collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate Figma designs into functional automated tests using xUnit, NUnit, Cypress, Playwright, and React Testing Library to ensure reliability across the stack. Apply security best practices across the application, including Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) integration, Auth 0, encryption, and secure coding standards. Configure and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub Actions. Use AI-assisted development tools, such as Git Hub Copilot, to improve development efficiency while maintaining coding standards. Success in This Role Looks Like Deliver complete, end-to-end features that meet business requirements on time and function reliably from database to user interface. Build strong collaborative relationships with business analysts, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams. Write clean, well-tested code across the stack that passes code reviews with minimal revisions. Proactively identify and resolve issues that span multiple layers of an application, from data access through the user interface. Contribute to shared standards and practices that improve full-stack development efficiency across the team. Continuously learn and adopt new tools and patterns across both front-end and back-end technologies. Position Requirements This Position Requires the Following Skills and Attributes Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proficiency in C# and. NET Core for back-end application development. Experience with React and Type Script for front-end development. Knowledge of responsive web design, CSS preprocessors such as SASS or SCSS, and layout techniques including Flexbox and CSS Grid. Familiarity with build tools and bundlers, such as Webpack or Vite, and package managers such as npm or yarn. Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Azure Cosmos DB.Experience designing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs. Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including deployment and basic infrastructure concepts. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git (Git Hub or Azure Dev Ops).Understanding of automated testing practices and frameworks, such as xUnit, NUnit, Cypress, Playwright, and React Testing Library. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple layers of a technology stack. Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with business analysts, designers, and other developers. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while contributing to team objectives. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies spanning front-end, back-end, and cloud infrastructure.
