Telecommunications QC Field Engineer Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking Telecommunications QC Field Engineer to join our team in support of the Army TEN-M program. This program manages the development, engineering and safety for telecommunications towers, antennae and associated technologies. This is a remote position and requires 25% to 50% travel; you must reside within a 50-mile radius of a major airport As the QC Field Engineer, you: Performs quality assurance and inspection activities for aerial fiber construction and splicing operations to ensure compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, FAA requirements, OSHA regulations, and NESC clearance requirements. Reviews OTDR traces, validates splice losses and installation quality, documents deficiencies, tracks corrective actions, and supports project closeout documentation and Government inspections.
Basic Qualifications:
  • AAS Degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree 5+ years of site QC experience and understanding of the duties as described aboveOSHA regulations expertise; certs desired

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $30.44 - $41.18. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
