About the Opportunity:
SALT Dental Partners and Chesapeake Pediatric Dental are opening a new orthodontic practice in Perry Hall, Maryland, and we're looking for an orthodontist to help build it from day one.
This is a rare chance to join a practice with patients already waiting. You'll have a built-in referral pipeline from Hakan O. Koymen, DDS, MS, of Chesapeake Pediatric Dental, a trusted pediatric dentist with an established patient base and strong community relationships. You bring the clinical skill and vision, and we provide the referrals, infrastructure, and support to help you grow.

Well suited to an orthodontist looking for a low-risk way into practice ownership-style growth, or to add a growing location to an existing schedule
What You'll Do:
Diagnose, treatment plan, and manage orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults
Provide comprehensive treatment with braces, clear aligners, and other appliances
Deliver early interceptive (Phase I) treatment in collaboration with pediatric dental partners
Build strong referral relationships with Dr. Koymen and other local providers
Help shape the patient experience, clinical workflows, and culture of a new practice
Partner with the SALT Dental Partners team on operations, marketing, and growth strategy
Requirements and Qualifications:
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Certificate or master's in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from a CODA-accredited residency program
Active Maryland dental license, or eligibility for licensure, with orthodontic specialty credentials as required by the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners
Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain), CPR/BLS certification, and radiology credentials as required
Proficiency with modern orthodontic techniques, including fixed appliances, clear aligners, and digital treatment planning (intraoral scanning, 3D imaging)
Strong diagnostic and treatment-planning skills with a commitment to quality outcomes
Excellent communication skills with patients, parents, and referring doctors
Comfort working with pediatric and adolescent patients and their families
A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to grow a practice
Board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Orthodontics is a plus
New graduates are welcome to apply, and experience is a plus
