About the role
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience in pipe welding in a fabrication or manufacturing environment and demonstrated proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, specifically experience in welding tight tolerance parts made of stainless steel
- Ability to achieve ASME Section IX welder qualifications in GTAW and FCAWStrong understanding of various metals, their properties, and appropriate welding techniques for each type of metal
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot welding issues, such as weld defects, equipment malfunctions, or material inconsistencies, and implement corrective measures
- Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
- Understanding of the properties and characteristics of metals used for cutting, welding, and forming objects and of various welding processes
- Ability to take direction, work well with others and be an active team member
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets, and engineering documents and drawings without assistance
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds with assistance
- Past ASME Code Certifications
- Completion of a certified welding course
- Ten (10) plus years of experience in pipe welding in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
