About the role

The City of Naperville’s Electric Utility is seeking an experienced Lineman to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and inspect the electric utility system and related facilities. The Lineman – EM installs, repairs, tests overhead high voltage lines and locates & repairs underground cables, including work in manholes and energized spaces. This position is represented by the IBEW Local 9 union. 2025 starting salary is $63.11 per hour, with wage updates in 2026 per the collective bargaining
