Role Description: This is a part-time, on-site role for a Paramedic or EMT supporting emergency response on a large construction project in Goochland, VA. The selected candidate will serve as a first responder for workplace injuries and medical emergencies on the job site, providing care at the BLS level. Responsibilities include responding to on-site calls, conducting patient assessments, providing first aid and BLS interventions, triaging and handing off cases to the on-site clinic nurse when needed, and maintaining accurate documentation of care. This role also involves maintaining response equipment and supporting compliance with site safety protocols. Candidates will work closely with the clinic team and report through an EMS lead.
Schedule: We're hiring multiple part-time Paramedics and EMTs to cover day, evening, and weekend shifts. Specific shifts assigned based on availability and team scheduling.
Qualifications: - Current Virginia EMS certification (EMT or Paramedic), or National Registry certification with the ability to obtain Virginia certification- Current BLS/CPR certification- Ability to assess and respond promptly to injuries and emergencies, including first aid, CPR, and bleeding control- Comfort working in an active construction environment, including outdoor conditions and moving around a large site- Sound judgment on when to escalate care to the clinic nurse or activate outside EMS- Proficiency in patient care documentation and clear communication- Understanding of safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and infection control practices- Teamwork and collaboration skills within a healthcare team- Experience in occupational health, industrial, or construction site medical response is a plus
