This includes owning the end-to-end payments function, from acquiring to settlement, and managing all aspects of merchant relationships, integrations, and onboarding processes. The role also involves driving payment economics, establishing and operationalizing risk, fraud, and compliance programs, and negotiating with various payment vendors to secure favorable terms. Applicants for the Head of Payments position at the company should have a proven track record in SaaS and merchant payments, with a strong background in payment processing, economics, and compliance. Experience in a senior payments leadership role, such as Director of Payments or VP of Payments, is essential.
