Overview: We are seeking an Associate Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships to drive the cultivation and growth of high-value accounts within Digital Media & Advertising and Live Event Sponsorships. This will be an individual contributor position, owning the entirety of the sales pipeline from prospecting through closing. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in selling integrated digital marketing campaigns to enterprise-level clients in Corporate or Public Affairs, ideally within the News, Journalism, and Live Events industries. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Architect and negotiate complex commercial agreements that meet internal growth targets and solve client marketing challenges.
  • Expand the revenue pipeline by securing new accounts and maximizing value from existing institutional relationships.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor movements to pinpoint untapped market segments.
  • Partner with marketing, editorial, and product departments to ensure the flawless delivery of cross-functional campaigns.
  • Define success metrics and deliver regular performance audits to the executive suite.
  • Oversee a portfolio of sophisticated, multi-layered accounts in a fast-moving environment.
  • Pivot outreach tactics in response to shifting economic and industry conditions.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador at major industry summits and networking events.
  • Candidate Requirements 10+ years of experience in business development or strategic sales within the digital media or publishing sectors.
  • Experience selling highly customizable, non-programmatic, integrated marketing and advertising sponsorship solutions.
  • A documented history of closing high-value deals and managing top-tier media accounts.
  • Advanced knowledge of the digital ad tech landscape and integrated event sponsorships.
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to turn market intelligence into actionable sales strategies.
  • High-level negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Success working in agile, growth-stage corporate cultures.
  • Mastery of modern CRM systems and sales productivity software.
