Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outbound orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work closely with the Logistics Coordinator.
Shipping Responsibilities: ·Prepare, package, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.·Generate shipping labels and bills of lading using carrier software.·Schedule freight pickups and coordinate deliveries.·Verify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders.·Package equipment securely to prevent shipping damage.·Maintain shipping records and tracking information.·Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues with the Logistics Coordinator and other departments.
Receiving Responsibilities: ·Receive, inspect, and unload incoming deliveries.·Verify quantities and inspect for damaged or missing items.·Match received goods with purchase orders and packing slips.·Notify Purchasing and the Logistics Coordinator of discrepancies or damaged shipments.·Label and organize inventory.·Enter received inventory into the inventory management system. Inventory Control·Maintain accurate inventory counts.·Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.·Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.·Organize warehouse shelves and storage areas. Warehouse Operations·Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.·Load and unload company vehicles.·Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.·Follow OSHA and company safety procedures. Team Collaboration·Assist with urgent shipments and last-minute logistics requests. Communicate inventory shortages, shipping delays, and scheduling conflicts proactively.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling devices.\nCompany
