RESPONSIBILITIES: OF THE SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANTPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple properties. Manage month-end/year-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor property performance and key financial metrics. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls. Support audits and maintain accurate accounting and property management system data. Partner with property managers and management on financial matters and process improvements. Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, system implementations, and other special projects. QUALIFCATIONS OF THE SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANTBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.4+ years of progressive accounting experience within real estate, property management, or a related environment. CPA a plus. Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Hands-on experience with Quick Books, MRI, and/or other property management accounting platforms preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel with strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities. Real estate or property management accounting experience a plus. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team player. COMPENSATIONTarget annual salary: $70,000 – $85,000+ DOE.
