There are no teaching responsibilities. The position is non-tenure track. Associate and full research professors are ordinarily appointed for multi-year, renewable terms.

Qualifications:
A PhD in Economics or a closely related field is required.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience, a well-developed and ongoing research program, and proven capacity in the design, execution, or evaluation of randomized controlled trials. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a portfolio of LEO-related research projects.

Background Check This appointment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. Applicants will be asked to identify all felony convictions and/or pending felony charges. Felony convictions do not automatically bar an individual from employment. Each case will be examined separately to determine the appropriateness of employment in the particular position. Failure to be forthcoming or dishonesty with respect to felony disclosures can result in the disqualification of a candidate. The full procedure can be viewed at https://facultyhandbook.nd.edu/?id=link-73597.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
