About the Role: The BVT Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data related to business value transformation initiatives. This position focuses on early detection of defects by validating new builds and verifying that critical functionalities perform as expected before further testing phases. The analyst collaborates closely with development and QA teams to identify issues, provide actionable feedback, and support continuous integration processes. By maintaining and enhancing automated and manual BVT suites, the analyst helps accelerate release cycles while maintaining high standards of software quality. Ultimately, the BVT Analyst contributes to delivering robust software solutions that meet business requirements and customer expectations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with software testing methodologies, particularly Build Verification Testing. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for test automation. Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or equivalent. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit. Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN. Understanding of Agile and Dev Ops practices. Certifications related to software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Dev Ops. Experience working in a fast-paced software development environment.
Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute Build Verification Test cases to validate new software builds. Analyze test results to identify defects and communicate findings to development teams promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand build changes and update test suites accordingly. Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines by integrating BVT processes. Document test procedures, results, and defect reports to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing.
Skills: The required skills enable the BVT Analyst to design and execute effective test cases that quickly identify build issues, ensuring software stability early in the development cycle. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools allows the analyst to create efficient, repeatable tests that integrate seamlessly with continuous integration systems.
