About the role
Seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a long term contract (3-year minimum) for a hybrid opportunity located in Lexington, MA. The onsite expectation will be 2-3 days in office pending project needs.What You Will Do In This Role:The Project Manager will create and maintain project plans, communicate tasks and milestone dates, and lead project teams. They will be responsible for the development of the project charter and business case, RAID log, communications plan, requirements traceability matrix, project benefits and value statements, and to define project metrics as applicable. Swift identification and communication of project gaps and risks is paramount.Roles and Responsibilities:Communicate project status reporting to stakeholders, management and senior management as required.Collaborate on high visibility Digital Enterprise Transformation projects with the Business Transformation Office and other Departments and Divisions.Provide leadership and direction to the vertical teams for the evaluation of project feasibility, development of business cases, establishment of priorities, monitoring progress, continual evaluation of project status and resource utilization from project inception to post-deployment closeout.Lead Continuous Improvement projects and be responsible for assessing process efficiency and strategic plan alignment across the Department. Contribute to the mission of maturing the SPMO.Build relationships, manage and negotiate in a matrixed environment.Required Experience:8 years of experience managing complex, high visibility projects in a matrixed environment.Experience creating and maintaining project plans that communicate tasks, milestone dates, and status.Development of project documents such as project charter, communications plans, requirement metrics, and similar documents.Experience balancing risk, efficiency of execution, quality of results and SPMO process requirements in the fulfillment of departmental and Laboratory goals. Can adapt to changes in priorities and course of direction.Familiarity with business software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, etc.Previous experience managing IT projects is a large plusRequired Education:Bachelor's Degree in business management or computer science.PMP Certified(Candidate must be a US Citizen as security clearance will be required)
