About the role

Front Desk Support/Greeter Volunteers needed to Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm at our Administration Office reception desk. The task is simple: Provide excellent customer service, greet guests and residents and assist with small projects. This is a great opportunity for those who like to help behind the scenes and make an impact in their community!
What We Do: The Boulevard of Chicago serves medically and socially vulnerable people experiencing homelessness by providing medical respite care, behavioral health services, and housing support. The Boulevard embraces a compassionate, client-centered, and holistic philosophy of care and through strong partnerships, promotes healing and stability to break the cycle of homelessness. The Boulevard serves over 500 homeless adults annually, helping them recover from physical injury, illness, addiction or mental health issues. After they recover, we assist Residents in finding safe housing and building a stable life: our goal is to help every client leave the homeless experience, hopefully forever. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
