About the role
- One to two years of Georgia Municipal Court experience.
- Experience providing customer service to the public in a professional office environment.
- Familiarity with legal terminology.
- Experience handling confidential, sensitive, or legally significant documents preferred.
- Ability to accurately review, process, file, and maintain legal and court-related documents.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and enter information into computerized systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to handle monetary transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with judges, attorneys, court personnel, defendants, law enforcement personnel, and members of the public with proper grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to attend court proceedings and accurately document and enter case dispositions and other courtroom activity.
- Education and experience requirements include:
- An associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Training or coursework in legal procedures, or municipal government.
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
