About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is comfortable managing detailed payroll data, reconciliations, and employee pay inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume payroll for both hourly and salaried employees across multiple payroll groups Review and balance payroll prior to processing to ensure accuracy and compliance Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, corrections, and other payroll transactions Perform detailed payroll reconciliations and identify discrepancies Maintain payroll records, reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation Research and resolve employee payroll questions and pay discrepancies Assist with payroll reporting and other HR-related reporting needs Partner with HR and internal departments to troubleshoot payroll-related issues Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met while maintaining a high level of accuracy Assist with additional payroll projects and responsibilities as needed Qualifications 2+ years of recent payroll processing experience Hands-on experience working with ADP or a comparable payroll system Previous experience processing high-volume payroll strongly preferred Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to research and resolve payroll discrepancies Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
