Job Summary: A Barricade Company is looking for a reliable, experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, and traffic control equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, and hydraulic issues. Perform oil changes, tire repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance. Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance and repair records. Review and address vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs).Identify potential mechanical problems before they cause breakdowns. Perform emergency repairs when needed to minimize vehicle downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Coordinate with management to schedule vehicle repairs and maintenance. Ensure vehicles meet applicable DOT safety requirements.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a diesel or automotive mechanic preferred. Knowledge of medium-duty trucks, diesel engines, and trailers. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems independently. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have basic knowledge of DOT vehicle inspection requirements. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Must have basic mechanical tools. Why Work at A Barricade Company?
