Job Description: Shape the Future of Advanced Composites in Wichita Join a high-performing team inside an FAA-approved repair station supporting Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 programs. Bring your composite repair expertise to a shop that thrives on precision, documentation discipline, and on-time delivery.
Role Highlights: Perform composite and select metallic repairs on structural and non-structural aircraft parts (fiberglass, acrylic, and other composites).Work strictly to SRMs, CMMs, AMMs, and other manufacturer/airline-approved repair instructions. Translate engineering direction into hands-on work using electronic media: work instructions, model-based definitions, specifications, requirements documents, and MRB dispositions. Operate across multiple tasks and machines, maintaining throughput without compromising quality. Fabricate, rework, and bond non-metallic parts and assemblies using advanced techniques.
Quality, Measurement, and Compliance: Verify dimensions with mechanical and electronic precision tools; perform First Article Inspection when required. Capture, validate, and deliver measurement data that satisfies engineering intent and program requirements. Maintain personal certifications and complete first-part reviews of procured or fabricated items. Open MRB records for nonconforming conditions and follow through on documentation. Conduct process surveillance to confirm requirement compliance and maintain quality records. Use and interpret CAD/CAM or equivalent tools to ensure conformance to engineering configuration.
Required Background: Demonstrated capability in taper sanding, lay-up, and septum core remove/replace.5+ years of composite repair experience preferred. Skills will be assessed during training; candidates will complete a phone interview.
Work Conditions: Initial assignment may be 1st shift with a move to 2nd shift as directed by management. Ability to stand and work for the full duration of the shift.
