About the role

School Crossing Guard Performs entry-level protective service work ensuring the safe and orderly crossing of school-age children at his/her assigned location.$16.75 hourly. South Area/Viera - Suntree. Part-time/2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days. No formal education, training, or experience is required. Experience as a crossing guard or other work with elementary school-age children is preferred. Must be of good moral character as determined by a personal background investigation. Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards prior to assuming School Crossing Guard duties. Must have a working home telephone or personal cell phone. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
