About the role
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is a key member of the newly formed Quality Management Department, responsible for proactively engaging with new and existing customers to drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction. This role focuses on outbound calling, post-service follow-ups, identifying sales opportunities, and building strong customer relationships. The ISR will play a vital role in positioning Michelli Weighing & Measurement as the industry leader in precision measurement solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers. Identify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, lead generation, referrals, and customer relationship management. Conduct consultative sales discussions to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Actively managing accounts that are not assigned to an outside Account Manager. Actively manage and qualify incoming leads, determining whether to generate quotes or route to Outside Account Managers Manage and prioritize sales opportunities independently while exercising sound judgment and decision-making. Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales recommendations in alignment with company objectives. Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, marketing, and service teams, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution. Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and pipeline management within the CRM system. Analyze customer trends, sales activity, and market opportunities to support business development initiatives. Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, networking events, and occasional travel to customer locations as business needs require. Meet or exceed established sales goals, performance metrics, and business development objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of company products, services, industry standards, and competitive offerings. Provide customer feedback and market insight to leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field preferred. Experience in consultative sales, account management, or customer relationship management preferred. Ability to independently develop and execute sales strategies. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Experience with CRM software and sales tracking systems preferred. Being bilingual is a plus, but not required. Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong phone etiquette and the ability to build rapport with customers quickly. The position is based in the Harahan, La office. Candidates must either be local to the area or be willing to relocate.
Requirements:
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to alternate between sitting and standing as needed. The role may require flexibility in scheduling based on customer and business needs Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
