About the role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate a school bus over designated routes according to established time schedules. - Pick up and discharge students at assigned stops. - Maintain student discipline on the bus and follow district policies for reporting concerns. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure proper operation and safety. - Report mechanical defects and safety issues to the transportation department immediately. - Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior as needed. - Comply with all traffic laws, district policies, and state/federal regulations related to school bus operation. - Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff. - Perform additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
