About the role

Job Summary: The Courier Service Manager will provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers by efficiently managing all aspects of courier services. Additional duties include but are not limited to: tracking the vehicles' milage, vehicle condition and services, coordinating of vehicles'' service with departmental stakeholders, established and maintain efficient cost effective routes to ensure timely delivery of pharmaceuticals and documents, provide training to couriers on medication handling procedures, departmental policies and procedures, ensure state and federal regulations are strictly followed, ordering and oversight of supply levels specific to courier services. Additionally this role will be responsible for outreach associated with courier services and may need to assist in the delivery of patient medications.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years courier experience, preferably in a medical setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills required. Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products. Extensive knowledge of Syracuse, Onondaga County, and Upstate New York areas. Requires possession of a valid and clean NYS driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of dispatch software programs and vehicle fleet management. Supervision and employee training experience. Experience with creating and maintaining employee policies and procedures.
Work Days:
  • Rotating schedule between 8am-8pm. Weekends and holidays based on operational need.
