Role Description: The ECE Head Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in New Haven, CT. The Head Teacher will lead the development and implementation of curriculum, ensure adherence to educational standards, and supervise a team of educators. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, supporting individual learning needs, and engaging with families to support their child’s growth. The ECE Head Teacher will also provide mentoring and guidance to teaching staff while maintaining compliance with NAEYC, state and local regulations.
Qualifications: Experience in Curriculum Development and a strong understanding of Pedagogy Proficiency in Education practices and techniques tailored to early childhood learners Demonstrated skills in Educational Leadership and staff management Strong Communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Knowledge of state licensing requirements and compliance standards Experience with diverse educational systems, software and tools and strategies is a plus
