Executive Underwriter Construction Casualty Large Accounts We are seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter or AVP Underwriter to underwrite large account construction casualty business. This role blends technical expertise, relationship management, and strategic sales execution to drive profitable growth. Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures and structuring tailored loss sensitive construction business
  • Underwrite W/C, General Liability and Auto coverage
  • General Contractors, Specialty Trades, Heavy Construction, etc.,.Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage terms; develop and present competitive proposals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers in the local assigned territory
Drive new business through strategic positioning and pipeline development*National accounts casualty Underwriters are urged to apply as training can be provided on construction.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of underwriting construction industry segments ideal
  • Strong knowledge of General Liability, W/C, and Auto coverages required
  • Expertise in loss sensitive casualty business required
  • Retail brokerage network base in the NYC territory required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPCU or similar designation preferred
