Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solid Works Designer to join our engineering team. In this dynamic role, you will utilize advanced CAD software to develop precise 3 D models and detailed drawings of cremation equipment components and systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to designing innovative, efficient, and dependable products that meet industry standards and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed 3 D models and 2 D CAD drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using Solid Works. Develop accurate schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P& IDs), and system layouts for cremation equipment. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to refine designs, ensuring feasibility and compliance with ASME codes & standards. Generate CAD documentation, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for production use. Incorporate GD& T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles into designs for precise manufacturing. Support design engineering projects by providing technical input on mechanical systems and system design. Utilize CAD software such as Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Auto CAD, Micro Station, Navis Works, Revit, Bluebeam, and PDM tools as needed for integrated project workflows.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Solid Works for 3 D CAD modeling and mechanical drafting. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and design of mechanical systems. Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools like Revit or Navis Works is a plus. Experience with Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P& IDs), schematics, and CAD documentation. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design. Proficiency in other CAD software such as Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Auto CAD, Micro Station is desirable. Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and assembly instructions. Ability to interpret GD& T specifications and apply them accurately in designs. Mechanical knowledge related to piping systems, system design, and product assembly processes.
