Position Summary: Senior Software Engineer – Front‑End Application Services at Schneider Electric IT Corporation, Foxboro, MA. Remote eligible up to 3 days per week. Salary in U.S.: $178,131–$185,220 per year plus short‑term incentive. Responsibilities: Design, implement, test, and support customer‑facing application services. Develop and consume RESTful APIs. Architect solutions with simplicity, resilience, and cost awareness. Uphold security and privacy best practices and address bugs. Profile and optimize application latency, throughput, and scalability. Write clean, maintainable code aligned with testing strategy (unit and integration tests).Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on large efforts. Apply version control best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.5+ years of progressive backend software engineering experience. At least 3 years of professional Java development with Spring or Spring Boot. Experience developing container‑based cloud‑native software (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) in a public cloud (Azure or equivalent).Design and implementation of event‑driven architectures (Apache Kafka or similar) for 2+ years. Proficiency with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar) and performance optimization. Technical leadership experience: authoring design documents, coordinating implementation, mentoring junior engineers, and conducting code reviews.
