About the role

A Manufacturing Janitor is responsible for keeping a manufacturing facility clean, safe, and orderly. The role typically involves cleaning production areas, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and other facility spaces while following workplace safety procedures. Typical responsibilities include: Cleaning floors, walls, equipment areas, restrooms, and common areas. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and removing trash. Cleaning up spills, debris, and general manufacturing waste. Operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and industrial vacuums. Replenishing restroom and cleaning supplies. Maintaining clean and organized production areas without disrupting operations. Following company safety procedures and proper chemical-handling practices. Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Reporting spills, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or maintenance issues. Performing other general facility-cleaning duties as assigned. Common qualifications: reliability, attention to detail, ability to work independently, willingness to work around manufacturing equipment and industrial environments, ability to lift/move cleaning supplies, and the ability to follow safety procedures.
