About the role
Histotechnologist - Night ShiftThis is a 13-week contract position. Night shift from Sunday to Thursday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM.The Histotechnologist will be responsible for performing histological procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy, and various staining techniques. The role requires a strong background in hospital clinical laboratory settings, with an emphasis on routine Anatomical Pathology specimens. Knowledge of cytology preparation is also essential. Perform routine and specialized histological procedures. Prepare specimens for microscopic examination including grossing and embedding. Utilize automated and manual staining techniques. Ensure quality control in laboratory practices. Collaborate with laboratory staff and pathologists. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital clinical laboratory setting. Histotechnologist certification (ASCP-HT) is preferred. California state license preferred; pending licenses may be accepted. Experience with Epic charting systems is a plus.
