SummaryThe AME Leader - Robotics, Automation, AI & Digital will lead the Wind Manufacturing roadmap and execution for robotics, automation, AI, and digital manufacturing solutions. This role is responsible for building and deploying advanced manufacturing technologies that improve safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, connectivity, and process insight across the wind manufacturing network.
Role Summary:
This leader will own the robotics, automation, AI, and digital manufacturing strategy for Wind. The role will build the automation roadmap, deploy robotics and machine control solutions, improve machine connectivity and data capture, enable analytics for process monitoring, and lead digital factory transition in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the Wind Manufacturing roadmap for robotics, automation, AI, and digital manufacturing
Build and deploy robotics, automation, and machine control solutions across plants
Improve machine connectivity, data capture, and integration of manufacturing data systems
Enable analytics and digital tools for process monitoring, control, and decision support
Lead AI / ML (machine learning) modeling for targeted manufacturing processes and use cases
Drive digital factory transition in partnership with operations, engineering, quality, and IT/OT teams
Lead technology selection, specifications, sourcing support, vendor engagement, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handoff to operations
Support product launches and capacity expansion through scalable automation and digital solutions
Improve ergonomics and safety through robotics and automation deployment
Standardize automation architecture, controls concepts, connectivity approaches, and digital methods across sites
Build technical capability within the AME organization for robotics, digital, and AI-enabled manufacturing
Drive measurable business outcomes in productivity, quality, uptime, and cost
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
Minimum 7-10 years experience in advanced manufacturing, automation, robotics, controls, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 deployment in a complex industrial environment
Experience with machine controls, robotics, PLC / HMI, data systems integration, and/or AI / ML enabled manufacturing applications
Experience leading technical teams and cross-functional deployment programs
Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Characteristics: Experience in wind manufacturing, heavy industrial automation, digital factory systems, or smart manufacturing
Knowledge of machine connectivity, industrial data capture, OT/IT integration, and process analytics
Experience with robotics deployment, automation ROI evaluation, and controls validation
Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset
Ability to influence across functions and standardize technology solutions across multiple sites
EligibilityThis position would be located at either site in Greenville, SC / Schenectady, NY or Pensacola, FL

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $144,000.00 and $240,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
