The Lab Technician will support laboratory operations, project, and customer needs on-site in Springfield, MA.
Responsibilities:
Laboratory Operations Support Glass cutting and preparation
Glass washing and handling
Packaging and shipping support
Interlayer preparation
Sample preparation and organization
Laboratory setup and cleanup
Materials management and inventory support Project and Customer SupportLTS support activities
Sample fulfillment and shipment coordination
Work request processing
Documentation and record management
Data entry and reporting support
General project preparation activities
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or Technical Diploma preferred. B.S. in Science is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
Effective time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple team members and stakeholders.
Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Science or technical background with an understanding of experimental methods and critical thinking principles.
Physical capability to safely learn and perform laboratory tasks, including glass cutting, laminate preparation, equipment operation, and glass lamination processes.
Ability to work independently after appropriate training and qualification.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Willingness to learn laboratory procedures while supporting a culture of safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. The minimum starting rate for this position begins at $35.08 per hour. Compensation is determined according to a structured rate schedule and may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
