About Wave Marketing Wave Marketing is a social media agency that builds organic short-form video content for brands. We're a very small team, so your work will be visible and your ideas will get used.
The Role: You will own the strategy behind our clients' organic content. You will decide what gets filmed, why it will work, and how it gets packaged, then hand clear direction to our editors and creators. You will be the person who knows what's performing on short-form platforms and turns it into content that earns attention and leads for local service businesses.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop monthly content strategies for a portfolio of clients, tailored to each brand's audience and goals
  • Write hooks, scripts, and briefs for videographers, creators, and editors
  • Research trends, formats, and competitors across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube ShortsWrite SEO-optimized captions, with the key search term up front and keywords at the end
  • Review data and adjust strategy based on what's working
  • Join client calls to present strategy, share results, and gather content ideas
What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or short-form video
  • A strong grasp of what makes a hook and a story work in the first three seconds
  • A portfolio or examples of organic content you've strategized or created
  • Clear, fast writing for scripts, briefs, and captions
  • Comfort with analytics and using data to guide creative decisions
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple clients at once
  • Review and leave feedback on content for editor before clients see itLead occasional on-site content shoots with local businesses, capturing their story in person
Bonus: experience with local businesses and B2C brands
